I got him long undershirts and a watch battery (both specifically requested) and he said it was the best gift he's ever gotten. Last year I got my husband a fancy watch. This year it'll probably be a leather briefcase. Neither of us are the type to buy things for ourselves- so it's a big treat. We're much more conservative with birthday spending and we don't exchange anniversary gifts. </p> <p>That said, my favorite gift from him is every Christmas he fills my stocking with smart wool socks. For my birthday, he helps me set up my classroom (2 full days worth of work).
