I get paid like I work part-time, but in reality, I work waaaay closer to full-time usually. LO goes to daycare full-time. I'd actually just been offered a job after quitting my previous one to move to Australia to be with DH, but the day I was offered the position, DH found out his job was moving him six hours away so I had to turn it down. She basically told me that it's totally possible to find fulfillment raising your kids and that really spoke to me. She had a very challenging career as an epidemiologist working at the EPA. Later I found out from a mutual friend that she went to Harvard. It seems futile to look for a job when I'm gonna be out on leave again in 6 months (and honestly, Idk if I'll wanna go back to work after having #2, at least for the first six months - year). Ahh.
