They are simple for the kids and easy for us to clean. Your DD is a little young so she might spill with it but it will be fine once she is older. The stainless steel one keeps milk cold for a long time, so it's good for outings. However, like most straw cups, a little annoying to clean. It's also pretty heavy for a young toddler since it's stainless steel. I remember @Andrea saying the same a few weeks ago. Definitely not one-time use... I switch them out every few months or so, if that. Thing is though, they aren't spill-proof, so it is better to use with an older toddler.
