We used bottles for milk and sippies for water. Kind of kept things separate. After he was one, no more bottles (but also no more pumping!)

@NYCaliMama: yup! @autumnlove: After trying a bunch of cups, I am just sticking with the Take n Toss now. They are simple for the kids and easy for us to clean. Your DD is a little young so she might spill with it but it will be fine once she is older. I use them for months, too!

Oh I also just remembered that the thermos foogo straw cup is pretty good for milk too. The stainless steel one keeps milk cold for a long time, so it's good for outings. However, like most straw cups, a little annoying to clean. It's also pretty heavy for a young toddler since it's stainless steel. Pros: easy to sip from and pretty close to being 100% spill-proof.

@autumnlove: they are pretty good quality despite what the name suggests! I remember @Andrea saying the same a few weeks ago. Definitely not one-time use... I switch them out every few months or so, if that. Thing is though, they aren't spill-proof, so it is better to use with an older toddler. My one year old uses them though, but I watch her closely when she does.

@NYCaliMama: Thank you for your suggestions! Take and toss as a single use seems kinda wasteful...how many times do you use them before you toss? :-)

Yeah I agree, the straw is thin on the Zoli Bot and with any kind of milk, it would be difficult to clean all the time. I like Think Baby sippies for milk... they are a lot like bottles but without the nipple shape which can give toddlers overbites :/ For straw cups for milk we use Take n Toss straw cups but not with their straws; I switch them out with flexible disposable straws at every use.

We use a Zoli straw cup for water but I'm not sure what would be good for breastmilk. Any suggestions?
