Now that I have a baby-and we liked the A&amp;A blankets but didn't use them for long-it's the Rock n Play. If it was someone I was really close to (or they didn't mind second hand), I'd try and get a Bjorn Babysitter bouncer, as that was my favorite piece of gear despite the price tag! I usually look at the registry and try to pick out something practical rather than cute. The cute stuff I've bought (like a little outfit or a blanket), I never see. But the practical stuff always seems to be well used like diaper pails, diaper bags, etc. At most of the showers I've been to, the mom-to-be has gotten a million diapers, lotions, baby shampoos, and creams. I'm not sure why, but for those reasons, I would avoid those products even though they are very practical.
