Apparently wearing shoes is not acceptable and while he wants to play in the mulch playground area at our apartment, he won't do it with shoes, so he steps gingerly around and eventually just wants to be picked up.</p> <p>Also, he is attached at the hip to DH and I am not acceptable. Sometimes he'll even cry if I offer to take him while DH does something. What oddly works is we have a big body pillow in his room and one day I got tired of waiting for him to get up, so I curled up on the floor on the pillow and as soon as he saw me do that he wanted to be pulled out of the crib. He laid down with the pillow for a few seconds but that was enough to get him going. I just sorta tickled and poked him on the ground and scooped him up while he giggled and that was that.
