I had DD 6 weeks after DS turned 3 which worked out well for us. He was independent enough to dress himself and potty trained which made things so much easier. Some adults say they loved having a sibling 18-24 months apart and others say they liked their 4 year gap. </p> <p>I think that 18 months is a great gap but realistically I couldn't have my kids 18 months apart. Mine will be more like 3-5 years.
