@pinkpeony921: I ran/worked out through my tww and throughout my entire pregnancy, although I modified it as needed. My doctor suggested it and it really saved my sanity because it made me feel good and helped regulate the wacky hormones.

I was doing p90 x during ttw. When i got my bfp i started to modify intensity level. You should def still exercise just not intensely, especially on your predicted day of implantation. I read somewhere intense exercise like jump training(plyo) can effect the implantation of the egg! Just do moderate exercise. Your jogging, abs and lifting is perfect!! Good luck on a bfp!!

@VEGMAMA: @JoJoGirl: Both time I got pregnant were during TWW's where I was exercising regularly. During the first, I'd just started bootcamp. During the second, I'd just started 30 day shred. Maybe I should take this as a hint to start exercising again!

I usually do cardio 3-4x and strength training 1-2x each week. I always second guess the strength training class during the TWW (BodyPump), but I usually go at least a few times and just take it easy on abs, and avoid any jumping.

@blackbird: @MrsKoala: Awesome, that is what I like to hear! I love boot camp type workouts....I feel worse not doing them as often as I did before actively ttc (I am in the tww of my 2nd cycle ttc.) I'm going to slowly pick it back up again because that is what I love! Glad to hear you are all still doing what you love.

I fully plan to continue with my regular workouts while TTC (I'm a member of softball & volleyball rec league teams, and do a boot camp/circuit training 3-4 times a week). I also plan to continue as much as I can once I am pregnant. Everything that I have read seems to indicate that it is good and healthy for you to continue exercising at the same level after you get pregnant.

I just took any intense workouts down a notch. I didn't to any crazy intervals or speed training on my runs, just ran more easygoing few milers. And on weights, I maybe used 5s instead of 10s or something like that. But you could proceed as normal for a few months and if no bfp, take it down a notch then. It seems to be more of a factor for some women than others.

my feeling on the TWW was that i shouldn't do anything to restrict or change my lifestyle, because you never know how many TWWs you're going to go through, and it's not practical (or advisable really) to change your life 2 weeks out of every month. I was in the drink till it's pink club, and i worked out the same as i did pre-O. Now that I'm pregnant, i've slowed down the intensity a bit of my workouts, but i'm still doing all of those things and i think they are keeping me sane :)

I would exercise as usual during the TWW. If you are used to it, there is no reason to stop or cut back. I just wouldn't do a new intense workout that you aren't used to then (like going from walking to an Insanity workout).

I did avoid things where I would get super overheated, like hot yoga-- but I have a really low tolerance for being overheated so it wasn't really a sacrifice. Again, I think if you were used to it, it wouldn't matter.

Go for it. Unless you're an Olympic weightlifter or you're doing fertility treatments where you've been ordered not to do any physical activity, it's probably fine! And you'll be glad you took advantage of the chance when you do get pregnant and don't feel like doing anything.

I was training for and then completed a 500 mile weeklong cycling trip during my two (more like 3 due to not getting BFP til later...) week wait.

I wouldn't be going out of my way to start an intense workout program during the TWW, but if it is what your body is used to, it doesn't seem like it would be an issue.

Last month I only walked during the tww because I read so many mixed reviews about working out while ttc. I felt sluggish and bloated by the end of the two weeks because I dropped my activity level...and I definitely stressed myself out. I used to do the Insanity workouts/high intensity cardio before my wedding, but I have definitely tapered off on that while ttc. This month I promised myself I'd keep up my jogging/lifting/ab work, but now that I just started the tww- I'm getting nervous to do certain things!

What is your take on exercise during tww/ttc?
