Usually when I apply self tanner, it's when I'm at my pastiest, but I have a lot of yellow undertones so might help to offset the color a bit so it's not as obvious and it looks more natural. It's definitely not orangish though either way. The color is natural. I would start off by applying a bit first. If I had to pick one I guess I'd go with the wipes because it dries really quickly and gets you a little tanner than the Banana Boat spray.
