I'm laughing as silently as possible over here! I can relate except for the toddler part but the "important rock" thing was hilarious! Seriously DH can sleep through the night and peek at me with one eye while I'm nursing, grumble, roll over, and wake up saying how tired he is! In fact, he did the same thing while I was in labor! This was us for 5.5 months before we moved him to his crib. I think I can now be roused by him on the monitor, shuffle into his room and settle us both on the futon to nurse without even opening my eyes. My husband doesn't open his eyes either, but that's because he's a jackass who can sleep through his child crying and then, yes, complain the next day that he's tired.
