I'm pretty used to being the minority.</p> <p>Agency: A little more women then men, mostly white. I think at my former agency of about 85 there were 3 black people (2 women, 1 man) and 2 Asians (both female), everyone else was white.</p> <p>Arts: Large arts org--Diverse in terms of gender. More diverse than the agency racially, but in the professional/administrative positions mostly white, while the support staff was mostly black/Latino.</p> <p>Higher Education: Ding, ding, ding: At the public institution very diverse across the board by race, gender, and age. Again, greatly dependent on the focus of the non-profit.</p> <p>One of my greatest regrets is that I didn't join the military... a secondary regret is that I didn't become a cop/detective. Both are renown for racial diversity, but not so much for gender diversity.</p> <p>Is your current (or most recent) industry diverse? How diverse are the various professions/fields you've worked in and/or been interested in? </p>
