As SammyFab mentioned, it can be viewed on the computer or mobile device. We set it up so we can pan around the entire room, which was great when I couldn't find the cat and discovered she was in the corner of the nursery. It has infrared for night vision. It has audio capability, but we don't use it since our home is small. We originally had the basic model FI8910W, but DH decided to upgrade to the HD Vision FI9820W. We probably waste it, but it was at such a good price it was hard to say no! We just got a philips video monitor that has wireless so it goes to your iphone....that was a Christmas gift, haven't needed to set it up yet since he's still in our room though. Not sure the name of the actual monitor, but I'm sure you can google to find out. I never knew if she was crying just to cry, and if that was the case me going in there would just make her cry more and then she would never nap, or if she had her leg caught in her crib.
