A comforter is a different type of thing that is permanently stuffed with filling and doesn't have a separate cover. So your second option should just be "duvet" (I can't imagine combining a duvet AND a comforter unless you live in a sub-zero climate).</p> <p>I'm a duvet person, if it wasn't obvious. Love them. We also have a light weight blanket – it is super thin and cool to the touch but very warm at night, it was from Costco. We also use the flat sheet that came with our bedding set where I get from a bunch of different places but one of my fav places to get sheets is Nordstrom rack. The comforter was part of a bedding set instead of being one that is designed as a duvet insert.</p> <p>We have matching pillow shams, but don't use them on the bed since it would be one more thing to remove before going to sleep.
