We just got an iphone 6 and I'm not loving my case too much now, though. I can't get the unlock feature with my thumbprint to work and I don't like how the cord plug in opens. But, it keeps the phone safe so I'll just learn to live with the quirks. It's pretty slim and doesn't add much bulk, but it does a decent job or protecting the phone from regular falls (like when I drop it, not when a toddler chucks it down the stairs!) I don't let LO play with it unless I'm sitting with her. I like that it still slides into my pocket easily but the sides are grippy enough that it isn't super slippery. Now that lo is here a have a good protective one. But I miss the pocket! I actually thought it was just a cheap crappy cover, and only got it because it was pink, sparkly, and on clearance for $13. But it's been great. I've dropped it a ton and no issues. I think I may get some sort of protection plan/insurance once LO gets old enough to be a hazard. SIL has it, and has used it a zillion times. He still throws my phone across the room and/or down the stairs frequently, so I'll probably stick with it! I don't like that it's so bulky, or the price tag, but with LO, it's a necessary evil, especially since he's discovered how much noise things making clattering down the stairs! What do you use? What level of protection do you need?
