We have a mini crib. There's not enough room for a full size crib while baby is still sharing our room. And making space for a full size crib or toddler bed will require Sweetie to give up his walk-in closet or his office. We were not having that fight during pregnancy! So, we'll cross that bridge when the mini crib starts getting too small and/or we want our room back.

We used a Moses basket in a rocking stand at first, and we have the Ikea Gulliver crib. It converts to a toddler bed and comes with the rail, otherwise we probably wouldn't have bothered getting a conversion kit. If we have another kid, we'd likely have them share a room for a few years so I didn't see the point in getting a crib that converts to a big bed -- the rooms in our house aren't nearly big enough to fit more than one bed unless we stick to twins or a bunk bed. And even if we don't have a second kid, I just couldn't commit to a long-term piece of furniture so early on!

We used a moses basket for the first 2 months. It was nice because it was light and easy to transfer from room to room. From 2 months on DD has slept in a floor bed.

PnP when he slept in our room. Convertible crib for his room which he used from 4 months on.

We won't be converting it though. Haha. We'll probably just put it in the future baby's room when it's time to transition and buy a toddler bed for him.

We have a convertible Ikea crib, but we didn't use it as such for long. She was in the RnP for the first 12 weeks or so due to reflux, and after that, we have mostly coslept. We tried to reintroduce the crib a few times, but we have actually had the most success when we disassembled it and used the mattress as a floor bed. I'm glad that we didn't spend money on an expensive one. I didn't plan on using our current sleep arrangements, but they evolved naturally and work for us!

We got a mini crib. At almost 2 she's just now out growing it. In a month or so we'll transition her to a twin bed. We chose it because it was less expensive, smaller (she has a smallish room), and I wasn't looking for a crib that would convert to a toddler bed or full size bed. I knew I wanted to go straight to a twin. It's been great. It has wheels and I like being able to wheel it from her room to ours if we need to.

We got a convertible crib. I would've liked to just get a regular crib, but most of the ones out there today convert. And even if they don't convert they're almost as much money. Plus we were getting a dresser and a night stand, and now it all matches. I like the one we got because it's a crib, a toddler bed and then a full size bed.

We also had a PnP that we used as kind of a bassinet for the first 7 months. But next time I want to have something that side cars to the bed better.

Convertible.

We also have a RnP and a PnP. We use the PnP in our room. I find it's more worth the cost because we use it a bassinet/changer and can use it for traveling or in the living room if we want when baby is bigger and we need to confine her for s brief few minutes. Bassinets are usually lower weight limits and it just seemed not worth the cost

We got an IKEA crib. I liked the design and I didn't want to make any long term commitment with an expensive convertible crib. I'm fickle when it comes to room decor so I wanted to ability to change things up as LO gets older.

We are planning on using the UBV bassinet as well. I also got a RnP. We will be very nomadic the first three months of the baby's life as we build a new house and move cities so I have resisted buying any kind of crib so that we don't have to move it!

My backup plan was a dresser drawer or a box like in Finland. I am looking forward to September when I have an actual nursery bedroom to decorate and furnish!

We got a convertible (to a full-size bed) for D. If we have another baby, I might go the ikea crib route. Not sure we'd be able to plunk down the money for a big convertible crib for #2.

DS was in a p-n-p for the 1st 7 months and DD used a co-sleeper for the 1st 6 months

then they both moved into full sized convertible cribs. If you go this route though make sure you buy everything up front - they seem to go obsolete within 12 months and you can never find replacements (bed rails, any matching furniture you want)

We got a full size convertible crib. I actually didn't care that much about it converting- she will probably go straight to a real bed from the crib and we may never use it as a full size bed, but we liked the look of them best anyway. But we didn't buy the conversion kit (toddler rail).

I have a friend who had a mini crib but her super tall daughter outgrew it before a year.

We have a stationary crib, although it can be converted according to the product website (confusing?!). I didn't necessarily want a convertible because we are planning on spacing out pretty far so we should hopefully only need one crib! (please IUD don't fail me!!)

We used the bassinet from our UBV for the first 8-9 weeks with a Jolly Jumper bassinet stand.

I got a convertible crib but in the beginning used a pack n play and rock n play.

If I could do it again, I probably wouldn't get the same one. It didn't work with the bedding I picked (couldn't see the skirt, etc). And then I ended up having two boys and we'd like them to share a room so as a big bed it won't work either.

Of course, hindsight is 20/20!

I got a convertible that converts to a full size bed. I prefer beds like a sleigh or four poster bed, and not the princess or cars beds for example, and only wanted to pay $$$ once to last her well into her teen years. My convertible queen size bed at my parents house is still in awesome shape. And it's a regular ole wooden sleigh bed. I'm all for painting her room and decorating it however she likes once she develops her own interests.

We will have a bassinet for the first few months when the baby will sleep in our room. Then, a convertible crib that fcan be used for the toddler stage even if we don't. I'm not a fan for the cribs that tturn into full or queen beds. By the time my LO is ready for a big kid bed their personality will have some influence over the bed frame choice.
