We have a bamboo dish rack which I really like--I greatly prefer the wood to metal or plastic. We don't use drying mats or similar, as it's much easier to clean the counter!

Ours is a basic white one from BBB and we have a drying mat, but we always have some sort of dishes out so neither gets put away.

We do the diswasher thing. We'll run a load of dishes and they'll sit for at least a day or two before they're all put away.

@Leialou: I do the same thing. I dry things on a towel. Those dish racks aren't meant for pots and pans and that's what we're normally drying.

We use a drying mat so we can put it away...but we rarely do, even if there are no dishes on it. It kind of just blends in on the counter top so I like that.

We use the drying mat and a fold up bamboo one from Target. We don't have a ton of counter space, so once the dishes are dry I can fold it up and put it away.

I have a simple human dish rack. funny that you posted this.. because I was going to start a dish rack thread! I actually didn't like how much space it takes on my counter so I put it away. :)
going to just use my dishwasher as storage for now.

We have a super tiny basic dish rack since there is limited counter space. I don't love it but don't hate it either. The nicer ones are usually too big. I recently added a small drying mat for cups, and it's nice to be able to put it away when not in use. At DH's house they use their dishwasher as a huge drying rack.

Ours is a simple dish rack like yours but sits on the counter. I think I can actually put it over the sink too but I like having both sinks to use.

We have a really basic one. I think it's this one:

http://www.containerstore.com/shop?productId=10005434&N=&Ntt=dish+rack

But I'm thinking about getting one of those drying mats instead so I can put it away and keep our counter cleaner. We always have dishes drying though, so don't know if that would actually work!

Do you love your dish rack?
