Parents readily donate. ETA our big one is a Family Fair which is like a kids carnival withiut the rides. The teachers run it and parents volunteer. Frozen cookies, food items, holiday gift wrap, kitchen items, the works. My DS's school does an annual candle fundraiser. Students were supposed to simply raise funds and then get a chance to wear a super hero costume. My coworkers always bring the order forms into work and get tons of orders! </p>
