22 city and 31 highway for my 2006 acura tsx. Sounds about right. We get really good gas mileage when it's all highway miles. 160k miles and still going strong.

2013 Subaru Outback: around 24 city and 33 freeway. Our 2005 Scion xB is still rocking at 170K miles and gets around 30 combined.

@josina: yeah it gets almost the exact same amount as my RAV4. I wasn't in favor of the van but the fact that it's so good on gas (and easy to get the kids in and out!) helps me to like it a bit more.

@Mrs. Sunshine: Wow, didn't even realize a van could get that good of mileage.
I used to drive a Pontiac G6 and I think I only got around 26 with that.

We have a 2012 Honda Fit. It theoretically gets 28 city/35 highway. However, "city" by mpg standards really means suburb, not actual city congested stop/go traffic.

The majority of driving we do is true city driving with lights at almost every block and lots of traffic. We generally get 19mpg in those conditions.

In driving conditions more like what they mean by "city" we get 25-27mpg.

On the highway we get about 42mpg.

To add another perspective, we have two electric cars now, so on a single charge, my Nissan Leaf will go about 80 miles (less if I am blasting the A/C) and my husband's Tesla will go 250 miles on a single charge.

I drive 70 miles per day, in my awd Honda Pilot I get 18 mpg, in my diesel excursion I get 24. We are selling the Honda 😉. My Husband has done work to the excursion, straight pipes the exhaust, new transmission, and a chip to help with power/mpg.

Bah not good. I'm not happy that what was advertised isn't what I get. Advertised was 18-25, and we get 18.5 averaged- which means half the time we get less than 18.

I'm curious about how bad/good actual gas mileage is vs. what is advertised.

What do you drive and what kind of mileage do you get?

I drive an AWD Chevy Traverse, and get about 18.5 mpg.
They advertise 15-22, so right in the middle.
