I have this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Pure-Guardian-H4500-Ultrasonic-Humidifier/dp/B00446IPB2/ref=pd_sim_hpc_1

I bought it at Costco for $99 2 years ago and so far, I really like it. But I don't want to spend another $100 on one so I'm looking for something less expensive but that works well.

I'm subscribing to this as well! I just bought a Vicks warm steam vaporizer instead of a humidifier. LO has a cold so I'm hoping it will help. But I think we'll still need a humidifier for longterm (non-cold) use.

Subscribing! Our house doesn't get very dry, but I would like to have one on hand for when LO gets sick. Our furnace has a humidifier connected, but sometimes I feel like it could use a little extra help.

I have 2 of these Vicks humidifers http://www.amazon.com/Vicks-V3500N-Cool-Humidifier-Gallon/dp/B000056HLQ/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&qid=1353355997&sr=8-21&keywords=vicks+humidifier

I think they are kind of old school and are from a few years ago. We like them because they are really loud (white noise). They are easy to keep clean because you just replace the filter, but they have to be replaced really frequently.

We need to use a humidifier in the winter time because my son's eczema flares up like crazy. We currently have the Germ Guardian and I really like it. But I'm planning on buying another one soon and was wondering if there was something better out there. I like that the Germ Guardian doesn't require filters. But I"m not opposed to filters if it cuts down on cleaning time!
