My parents listened to a TON of classical music, AM radio (NPR stuff) some jazz & then a bit of hymn type stuff. My mom listened to mostly top 40 so we listened to a lot of great 80s music together and a lot of that reminds me of good times, out with my mom. I always think about this with LO though because I listen to all kinds of stuff. We might go from opera to hip-hop to show tunes in one car ride lol. We didn't have cable, so I was a decade or so behind the times when it came to popular music. I think a lot about this, because I hear all these stories about how people love the music that their parents played when they were a kid... and that's not really something I can relate to. I love me some jazz though, and would love to share that with the kids. They have zero interest in it right now though. What kind of music did your parents play when you were growing up? Do you like that music now?
