Prenaplus Tablets RX they are big & kinda gross but I don't mind as long as I have some food & water with them. I've been taking them since August 2010!

I've been taking Viatfol-One (Rx) and have been happy with it so far. It's a tiny (!) little pill and has the DHA included. I had taken Vitafol-OB (without the DHA) before conceiving and liked that too, although it was much bigger.

I took Rainbow Light petite (have to take 3 pills, but they are thinner and smaller than those regular sized horse pills!); they were the only ones that didn’t make me want to throw up. Now I just take Expecta DHA and usually a folic acid supplement.

I took Prenate Elite for the first year of TTC but then I switched to a new doctor & he said OTC prenatals were fine so now I take One a Day prenatals and they are fine & WAY cheaper than the prescription vitamins I was taking.

I take Citranatal Assure (prescription). I took it when I was pregnant with my son a few years ago so I just stuck with the same brand. I also took it while breastfeeding him. My insurance covers part of it so I end up paying $25 a month. No complaints about it.

I took Venatal Complete DHA (which was the generic for Duet). It was 2 pills, one was the vitamin and the other was the DHA which I guess is important for brain development. I like to cut the vitamin in half though, so I don't get an upset stomach/constipated from the iron. I take half at lunch and half before i go to bed plus the DHA pill. I was recently switched to CitraNatal Assure, which is basically the same thing. I took a sample of Vitafol a couple times which is a really small blue pill and has both the vitamin and DHA in one small capsule, but I had a stomach ache all day from that one. These are all prescription, btw, because they all have 1 mg of folic acid.

We aren't ttc until fall but I am taking the New Chapter prenatals. I really like them and feel a difference when I take them versus a week where I didn't but they are pretty big, don't smell great and I can't take all three at once so remembering to get them all in is hard. If I couldn't feel a difference I doubt I would continue taking them.

One good thing to know though is if you have a flex account you can use it for prenatal vitamins but not for regular multi vitamins so at least you can get them pretax. I believe you need a doctors note now though just saying you should take them.

I take Super Nutrition's Simply One Prenatal. I like it because it's only 1 pill, and they smell like vanilla which usually keeps me from gagging (I'm a wuss).

I've taken the New Chapters but I didn't like how you were supposed to take 3 pills, and I couldn't stand the smell/initial taste! And yes, they are $$$!

Prefera pills are small, easy to swallow and you only need one a day.
I took gummies with LO because swallowing pills made me really nauseous

I was taking the New Chapters prenatals as well (the trimester-sized bottle), until a few weeks ago. I've never swallowed pills before, and when the nausea kicked in it turned into this huge battle to choke them down.

Until those symptoms clear up, I'm taking a Bellybar chewable prenatal vitamin. I'm also taking a Bellybar chewable DHA supplement for healthy brain development.

Before we were TTC, I was taking VitaFusion Gummi PreNatals, but I found it they had the kind of Vitamin A in it that is from an animal resource, and it isn't great for pregnant woman to take, and that freaked me out.

So I switched to New Chapter Perfect Prenatal, which I like, but I have to take three huge pills and they are very expensive (but they have their vitamin A as beta carotene). Plus an additional folic acid supplement because I'm fat and read that fat woman may need additional folic acid.

What do you take?
