@rattles: I've actually never looked in the pajamas section! I think I got frustrated when I couldn't find a bigger size w the other infant sleep and plays, so I just refused to believe they made them! I'll check it out :)

@NovBaby1112: Definitely thicker than a fleece blanket. The reason we love the sacks so much is b/c it's thick all the way around him, so it's like a little mini sleeping bag for him. Not so thick that he's sweating, but he sure is warm when I take him out!

@Periwinkle: Check the pajamas section at Carters! They have footed ones online and in the store, but they just don't call them sleep and plays. They also have them at Target.

Now that it's winter weather here again, she wears a cotton onesie, a fleece footed pj, socks and a cotton Halo sleep sack.

My toddler doesn't wear a sleep sack, and my infant wears the Halo newborn sleep sack (without the swaddle part). I love Baby Deedee, but the smallest size is too big for my infant.

@NovBaby1112: I've never seen the 4 layer a&as to compare but it's pretty warm, like a light/medium weight comforter would be.

@Periwinkle: I know I have a few 12m and 18m carters footed pjs? Old Navy and Gap both have them at least up to 18-24 and the children's place has them up to at least 4T.

We love the Halo sleep sacks - cotton in the summer, fleece with fleece PJs underneath in the winter. M moves around in the crib too much for a regular blanket.

LO is 15 months today! He sleeps with a fleece sleeper and an A&A dream blanket. Sometimes he kicks off the blanket, but if he's cold, he'll use it. During the weekend naps, he sleeps in his onesie plus a warmer sleep sack depending on the weather.

We have various sleep sacks depending on which pjs and the temp -- the warmest is the Halo sleep sack - it's super cozy. We also have a cotton one and I can't remember who makes it but its a good in between warmth.

My lO is also 12 months - he moves so much I think the sleep sack is best still. For his bday we got a couple big ones he can grow into also!

We have the Baby Deedee as well - love it! DD sleeps in socks, footed cotton or velour pajamas (sometimes with a onesie under the cotton PJs), and the Deedee. It's about 64-66 in her room at night.

Another vote for baby deedee...LO has the heavier sleep sack from there in size 6-18 months and he is quite cozy in it!

The other I would recommend is Grobag in 2.5 tog. He slept in that when he was around 4 months since it was the middle of winter at that point. They had the side zip in the 0-6 month sleep sacks.

My mom/MIL are horrified we "don't let him sleep with blankets." Pssh. He would kick off a blanket, whereas he actually stays warm in his sleep sack.

As it is getting colder out, I am debating whether or not to change up LO's sleep "uniform." He has always slept in "appopriate" weight pajamas and in a lighter A&A sleepsack. I know that he is old enough now to sleep with a blanket (he's 12 months old) but I am still a bit skeptical, not to mention that he is a little wiggle worm and moves all around the crib at night!

Should I just move him into a thicker sleepsack? If so, can you recommend one?
