He's 2 (on Thursday!) and its just like relax dude. He's a toddler. He has a lot of feelings, a lot of meltdowns and a lot of irrational behavior. I know it's the only time he gets to spend with him, but the kid needs to go to bed. other than that we agree on pretty much everything and are both pretty chill. I had to work on Saturday and DH took DD to see his parents. His mom babysits my niece and assumes the way my SIL raises a child is the only way to raise a child (she put Karo syrup in her bottles as a first shot at resolving constipation...not something I would do...). I told him he had to be DD's advocate, "don't let your mom feed her anything she doesn't normally eat." For gosh sakes, the last time I dropped her off for a half hour babysitting, we put her in the highchair for a snack and MIL says "would you like milk or juice to drink?" Whelp, shes ALLERGIC to milk and she doesn't drink juice. What's wrong with water?!</p> <p>Rant over.
