well, besides the fur that covers EVERYTHING in the house, they ruined the carpet in the family room by continuing to use it as their favorite potty spot. they've done that to area rugs as well that we've tossed. stinkers.

Countless sunglasses, two pairs of Xbox live headphones, a book or two...
He got ahold of a small bottle of superglue once and chewed it open on my couch. Now there's a big spot of hardened glue hidden behind some couch pillows.
Most recently he had the runs on the living room rugs. I had to throw them both out!
Surprisingly though, he hasn't ruined any of T's things.

My dog needs to get a job.

There are scratch marks on the front door and front windows from her trying to get the poor mailman, and a few dings on the floor from dropping her bone, but I think that's it. She's super well-behaved around the house.

whatever they can get their paws on! curtains in my br & the living room, blinds, dining room chairs, the couch, many pairs of nylons, all winter hats with tassels or pompoms, a bunch of christmas ornaments, a $$ fake decorative tree, one of them ripped the sheets on my bed the other day, the corners of the drawers on my dresser have teeth marks (winifred can open dresser drawers and she steals underwear and nylons & leaves them everywhere). i have to keep the kitchen cabinets closed with latches because they open them and throw things out onto the floor :( the kittens are almost one and they're terrors, everyone says they'll calm down, i'm not going to hold my breath though!

ETA: i forgot about all the toilet paper and toothpaste. i can't even have TP out, it's hidden in a cabinet next to the toilet and winnie leaves vampire bites in toothpaste tubes if you leave them on the counter, even her kitten toothpaste in the metal tube, she bit through it :bummed: and she chews open bags of litter (she can even do it if the bag is still in a cardboard box, she chews through the cardboard to get to the bag of litter!) and digs with her paws to throw the litter on the floor & roll in it.

Um, SO MANY THINGS. We have three cats, and they are destructive, particularly one of them. They've destroyed the arms of the couch (I drape pretty blankets over them now to disguise), they scratch the dining chairs, too, but luckily we bought cheap ones at Target so I don't really care too much. They scratch our bedside tables (Ikea, so again, don't care). We've definitely started considering how scratchable things are before we buy them now that we're starting to purchase nicer, non-Ikea furniture. For example, we bought a really nice dining table from Restoration Hardware and made sure to buy one with metal legs. I've already given up on our security deposit, though, haha. Luckily it was small...

She destroyed the bottom of my mom's kitchen cabinets and the corner of my basement stairs when she was less than a year old. During the past 4 years, I think she's only destroyed a scarf, a dishtowel (which had food on it), and a wooden box I bought back from Costa Rica for my daughter. The last one was just last month, after having not destroyed anything for 2+ years. I'm assuming she thought it was a toy since it was wood? I think I might be able to glue it- the lid is just in three pieces with a few teeth marks. I was not happy about that. Overall she is a good dog though and, before this, she had never mixed LO's toys up with her own even though they are often all over the floor and look very similar to her dog toys (stuffed animals, squeaky plastic things).

My dog only destroys his toys, thankfully, but he does have a bad habit of marking things inside the house :( If anything is out of place, he WILL pee on it. Good thing he's cute and sweet as can be!!

@autumnlove: It's all scratched up now!

Ironically, our other cat, Zhukov, is the one with razor sharp claws (which he won't let us trim). He doesn't really damage any objects but he scratches me somewhat regularly.

We have been super lucky with our dog, he's not a chewer at all. At our home, he's only destroyed my ipod and chewed a remote control a little (it still worked). At my parents house, he destroyed a remote control and a car clicky thing.

When we first got my little cat, she would eat random socks and clothes and stuff and steal our food right off our plates. But she finally calmed down after a couple months and besides that, the two of them haven't ruined anything. We trained them not to scratch furniture or rugs and they've neverr gone to the bathroom outside the litterbox.

The question should be what has your pet NOT ruined. I love them more than anything, but they are two 80 pound tornadoes. They are lucky they are so cute.

Most recently, the oldest got a stomach bug and decided to relieve herself in the nursery. Everything was gifted and/or hand me downs, EXCEPT for the rug. Said rug is now ruined. :crying:

We keep our dogs in an indoor pen (so lovingly called "the cage") because they destroy things when unattended. Usually they go through the trash but once one dog bit through the cord of a brand new pair of Grado headphones ($90). But even in the pen they wreak havoc. We just went away for the weekend and they've been pooping in their cage in protest ever since. Yesterday we came home and they had pooped in their food and water bowls. Ugh!!!!!

Oh my gosh, so much! Our younger dog loves board books so tons of lo's books have bites taken out of them, and both dogs love leather shoe laces so many pairs of shoes have been targeted if they're left out. Our older dog chewed a hole in a couch and a wall when he was a puppy... The list goes on...

The carpet, she seems to think a certain room is her litter box...we didn't know since it was never used (guest room) until we turned it into the nursery, I bawled when I saw the spots. We cleaned it and now have to keep her out of it.

She's also eaten more underwear and socks than any small 12 pound dog should eat, we are amazed she hasn't had digestion issues.
