The windows/ sliding doors have a transom window, so.the drapes are hung above it. The drapes have a blackout liner because I don't like light distorting or filtering through the fabric.</p> <p>We have the same type of window/ sliding door in the family room. We have vertical blinds from the previous home owner. There.s a wood cornice board over the blinds, but the transom is void.of decor. I want to switch out the vertical blinds for silhouette verticals. We wanted to get Roman shades for them, but we have retractable screens so there is no way to hang the shades.
