We opted for custom drapes from JCPenney. The windows/ sliding doors have a transom window, so.the drapes are hung above it. The drapes have a blackout liner because I don't like light distorting or filtering through the fabric.

We have the same type of window/ sliding door in the family room. We have vertical blinds from the previous home owner. There.s a wood cornice board over the blinds, but the transom is void.of decor. I want to switch out the vertical blinds for silhouette verticals. The silhouette encases the verticals with sheer fabric, so.its softer and offers better light control for the TV viewing.

We have two sets of french doors on either side of the fireplace that look onto the deck. We wanted to get Roman shades for them, but we have retractable screens so there is no way to hang the shades. So I think that we are going to have to just do curtains so we have something when we want more privacy.

We put frosted window cling on our french doors to the backyard. We needed privacy but didn't want to lose the light, and I didn't want to sew another set of curtains when the room already had five sets!

Fairly sheer curtains. So they provide privacy, but still let in light.

I am no help bc we don't have anything on ours. It opens to our pool, and we're also on a lake so we didn't want to block the view. But I did see some gauzy breezy curtains on PB that they had on glass doors leading outside and I thought that looked pretty amazing!

I am so stumped about what to do with our extra large living room sliding door. I want more privacy and I'm not worried about room darkening or light control.
