Just diaper wipes. Honest or seventh gen.
I use them to wipe my kids' faces and hands, table surfaces, etc.

We carry cloth wipes, a water bottle (for drinking water, but also to wet the wipes when we are not near a bathroom), and unscented boogie wipes. I really love the cloth wipes. They are good for so many things. You can dry off a wet playground slide, clean a face, wipe up a spill, use them for their intended purpose...

@LovelyPlum: I wiped LO's nose with a regular wipe last night at Target. It worked just as well as a Boogie wipe or pacifier wipe. Paci wipes are a marketing thing. I have some but forget about them and use regular wipes instead.

I think having a basic wipe and a Wet Ones is plenty for a diaper bag.

@looch: thanks! I am, too. I'm discovering it's a problem. It sounds great when I put it on the registry, but if I put 4 different kinds of wipes in our diaper bag, my husband will kill me.

@littlebug: I was thinking about the boogie wipe after I posted that...I would think that saline is probably better than a diaper wipe. Then I would only need two different kinds.

@LovelyPlum: I am a sucker for packaging, that's how I end up with so many varieties of things, it happens!

Pacifier wipes are food grade. I used those on my son's hands before I found the hand/face ones. I have also carried a wet washcloth in a baggie.

@LovelyPlum: I think so. I always feel weird about it, but I do it anyway. That or I use a boogie wipe, which is just saline. Or depending on where it fell, I'll stick the paci in my own mouth to clean it.

So I carry diaper wipes (Target sensitive) in a small plastic case. And a small thing of boogie wipes.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but is it OK to wipe a pacifier with a diaper wipe if it falls on the floor? I would think yes (?) but I'm not sure.

I carry travel packs of Pampers Sensitive wipes. They are used primarily for diaper changes, but can also clean hands, faces, or spills. I also have a small bottle of hand santizing spray (from Whole Foods) in case I need it for myself. When DD was small and spit up a lot, I also carried at least one burp cloth. Now I just carry a A+A swaddle blanket. It has a million purposes, including nursing cover and towel for mopping up spills!

I have Wet Ones, Pampers (or basic baby wipe), and Boogie wipes (during the winter) in my diaper bag. I liked the Pampers one for awhile, but switched to a little chunky one after using it while on vacation. It takes up less space in my diaper bag.

We used to use those small plastic containers and put a handful of whatever wipes we were using at home in them. That kinda got to be a pain and they seemed to dry out quickly.

Now that we switched to the Costco wipes that come in individual plastic containers, I have been just waiting until we use about half a package and then throw the rest in the diaper bag and open a new one for the changing table.

When she is sick (which was all the time when younger) I had a small pack of boogie wipes we also kept in the diaper bag.
