She especially loves to say that "Tagalog is such an ugly language and sounds like a bunch of chickens clucking" but Portuguese is so beautiful (which she unfortunately does not speak nor understand). I usually just grin and bear it but since having DS it hasn't been so easy to bite my tongue! Graciousness is lost on her so I wonder sometimes if I should bother being gracious at all. When the ER doctor saw me and asked me questions, I couldn't even speak due to pain. He turned to my non-Asian husband and asked him if I understood English. So I just nodded and didn't say anything else.
