The counter tops pre-date us but we did extend an area of the counter and have a new portion poured. It's so low maintenance! We put some sort of protectant on it once but that's really been it. And I'm not a crazy cleaner so I don't wipe it down a lot either. ETA: I was looking for a pic on my phone but don't seem to have one. (We rent). I do like it, but I wouldn't choose it. It has certainly developed a patina and if it was newly installed and mine, it would drive me crazy to keep it unblemished. But when we do get a house, we'll steer away from natural stone and their porous and maintenance aspects. Perhaps quartz or just a nicer looking laminate for us. I think the coating is made from beeswax but I don't know for sure.
