We have to put the date on our bottles (as well as name) so I just use masking tape and a sharpie. Peels off easily but doesn't smudge or run if the bottle gets wet.

Thanks! I'll go check out a few of these...a new project for while I pump, I guess. I use masking tape and a sharpie for putting dates on bottles, but I wanted something a bit more permanent for putting her/our name on things that I don't have to redo every time. So cute and durable labels are definitely what I was thinking I would go for...

@T.H.O.U.: I use blue painter's tape, I think from your suggestion, for putting dates on bottles. It works great.

I sprung for cute labels via stickymonkey.com! I wanted round circles that would fit inside the circular depressions on the Avent bottles - crazy, I know! They've held us really well so far despite going in the dishwasher every other day.

i just write on the bottle his initials with sharpie. i have seen the labels and they are cute, but that is one more thing for me to mess with in between pump parts and bottles...i can't handle one more thing!

We ordered some labels from labeldaddy.com with a 50% coupon and they've been great! We use them for her diaper bag, stroller travel bag, clothes, bottles, and food containers. You can wash and dry with the labels on which is great. They weren't cheap, but I find it priceless that I don't have to label and re-label all the time.

The cheapest way is honestly painters tape. The blue stuff you get at Walmart or lowes.

We have used Mabel's labels and Emily press. The quality seems to be comparable, it's just the designs that are different (and price). I have run the labels on bottles through the dishwasher hundreds of times and only have a few come off. I also have used clothing stickers and shoe stickers.

Our daycare helps us label our stuff (sippy cups and all). They use a masking-tape-like tape that has a rough surface, then use markers to write on it. The sticker is pretty water-resistent because it never washes or comes off, but the marker does wash off after a while, so they have to rewrite his name on the sticker over and over occasionally. I am thinking a ballpoint pen with the sticker may work the best.

LO started daycare this past week, and they have been commenting that we should have everything labeled. It's easy to label clothes with a marker on the tag, but bottles are MUCH harder. I've seen people with those personalized stickers with baby's name on them, but I have no idea where to get them. Where did you get yours, and how well do they hold up to bottles being washed/sterilized/etc?

Thanks!
