The nice thing is they can turn them on again on their own if they wake up at night. We turn it off after bed time but it could stay on all night if you wanted. You can have it cycle through all of the colors or pick one. I have an aquarium one and it was super cheap. No doggies or penguins but they do have colour change options and purple is a choice, and a good variety of cute choices.. It's default setting is to turn off after 45 minutes but you can set it to stay on all night. Their new (separate) bedrooms get REALLY dark at night, and plug in nightlights aren't cutting it. I've been leaving their closet lights on, but this is killing my electricity bill.</p> <p>If you use a low light bedside or floor lamp of some sort as a night light, I'd love to see it/hear where you bought it! Bonus points for pink, purple, penguins, or doggies. :) I'm even wondering about some kind of battery-operated LED marquee light, but I think most of those switch off on a timer.</p> <p>Thanks! </p>
