I find I definitely go through periods where I can get away with less self-care, but I always need *something*....and in those burn-out periods, I will do multiple of these in one day!

- use the free childcare at the gym for the full 2 hours, whether or not I'm actually working out for 2 hours
- listen to non-parenting podcasts (usually during working out)
- use afternoon nap/rest time to have a cup of tea & read a book
- give myself grace for those days when we watch too much sesame street, order takeout, and don't leave the house all day :)

I used to feel bad/guilty about not being *productive* and/or super-mom during the day while DH is at work. But then I thought about how during his work-day/the time I'm home solo with the kids:
- he has down-time during his commute (not ideal, but he loves music so has 30ish minutes of interrupted loud music time or podcast time at the beginning and end of the day)
- 1-2x a month he has a rep lunch where yes it's technically "work" but let's be honest, it's good food, for free, with adult conversation
- any downtime he has during the day between meetings/patients, dead spots in his schedule, etc where he can veg quietly in peace, talk to other adults without interruption, etc.

Little things:

Treating myself to what I love to eat whether it's keeping a bar of my favorite chocolate in the house, buying my favorite cheese and making myself a cheese plate with yummy fruit, etc.

When my DH does bedtime with LO, I lay in bed and just zone out or look up stuff on my phone or shop online. I just enjoy some quiet time to myself at the end of the day

Taking a bath

@winter_wonder: I have like 8 million different projects I'm working on because I get bored easily!! hahah so I bet if I would commit to just 1-2 I would be able to see a ton of progress. it's more of a just distracting thing for me to do so i can relax :-)

Reading! This is the only thing I manage to do consistently.

@MrsBrewer: that's awesome! I'm terrible at this and just sew in phases or giant chunks of time. I bet you get a lot done.

I do a lot for myself, I learned the hard way that when I don't take care of myself, I can not take care of anyone else. A lot of it is similar to what @yoursilverlining wrote.

I like to take care of myself, I don't allow myself to fall into the trap of focusing on my son and letting myself go. I get my haircut on a regular basis (make the next appointment while still in the salon), I get pedicures in the summer (doing them myself or going bare in the off seasons), I actively meal plan to make sure I have something to eat for all meals, I work out and make sure I have appropriate clothing for that. I get great pleasure in finding a good deal or a way to get the same results as an expensive service for less or DIYing.

I also go to the doctor and dentist. I know this sounds weird, but I take this time seriously and often take a day to do all of it at once, if possible.

I also love magazines, so I found a way to get a bunch using credit card points...I read them on my commute.

I am a HUGE proponent of self-care and practicing self-care is something I work hard at. My biggest “breakthrough” for self-care is actually something I learned to practice at work, through a particular coaching method our company uses that focuses on reducing interference. It sounds silly, but focusing on reducing the “interference” in my life has helped tremendously both personally and professionally. Focus your attention to what you are doing (i.e., stop multi-tasking so much or trying to focus on or do 5 different things at the same time), limit your disruptions and limit your allowance of disruptions. This method also helps me to combat anxiety and feelings of being overwhelmed when I have 9738276346 things to do each day.

Small things that I try to do several times a week include:

Doing a facial mask or taking 10-15 minutes of my own time to do something nice for my skin

Reading (even if I only aim for 1 chapter)

Taking an extra shower (more for the steam and time alone)

Hot cup of GOOD coffee or tea

Doing something with my hands (sewing, making something creative/craft, coloring)

Going to a thrift shop to scour for hidden gems

Nice/special treat

Just going for a quick drive by myself, turn up the volume and sing a couple of my favorite songs

DIY pedicure (or go to a salon if you have time)

WINE

Trashy TV(often paired with wine!)

I saw a speaker who talked a lot about self care and one suggestion was making a list or collage of things you love to do/fun things for you. She included stuff like like going for a walk, having a mini dance party in her kitchen and making and drinking a hot cup of tea. The idea is that you make sure to do one of these activities every day. It's a way to ensure your tiny pockets of time aren't all filled with endless scrolling and that at the end of the day you don't feel like you got lost in the shuffle of caring for everyone else.

So, what makes your list? It doesn't have to be stuff you actually do on a daily basis, just stuff you could do from time to time without any major hassle.
