Kids either packed lunch or went home-I was part of the latter...so I never got any of the cool lunch-box treats! It varied if my mom was home or working, and at one point my dad was able to meet us at home for lunch! Ah the joys of small city living. We had chickfila on Mondays, Subway on Tuesdays, Taco Bell on Wednesdays, etc. We also had at our leisure pints of blue bell ice cream, bottles of Dasani flavored water, Otis Spunkmeyer cookies (omg! These are THE best cookies ever, and they were 3 for $1!!), etc. The best part, they deduct the cost from your school lunch account!!</p> <p>In elementary school, I loved the fruit cocktails, frito pies, and that "plasticy" pizza with ranch. haha!
