This is all sweet (and sad) to read!

@My Only Sunshine: Haha!

@blackbird: @MoonMoon: Oh, that's another one. She's never had a hair cut! I am thinking of doing it soon, though. She has a mullet.

@californiadreams: No way. I think preschooler is 3!

At almost three, he's potty trained, sleeps in a big boy bed, talks like a little grown-up...but yet he still has chubby little baby legs. I'll be sad when he has a growth spurt and finally looks like a little boy!

My 2 year old likes to be picked up and rocked like a baby while we sing "Rock a Bye Baby" to her, but I think she just likes that when we sing "down will come baby, cradle and all" we pretend to drop her - that is a WEIRD song, you guys.

@BKCaribBaby: I think 2.5 is definitely on the early side! We have plenty of time. I dread it becoming a power struggle, so I'm really waiting for him to take the lead.

@MoonMoon: Thanks! I'm most self-conscious about the potty training. She's only 2.5, so it's not like she's really all that old.

He's still in diapers, uses a paci, and sleeps in his crib. Otherwise, he's such a big boy!

We're currently trying to get rid of the paci (nightmare!). We want to do potty training SOON. He just, last night, teasingly, pretended to climb out of his crib, so that may be changing soon too! WHO KNOWS!

He's growing up so fast.

My "baby" turned 2 today! Sniff. But she is still sleeping in a crib, uses a paci at night, nurses once before bed, and isn't potty trained.

@BKCaribBaby: I'm behind with you! My kid is 28 months old, and pretty tall and advanced in many ways but...

Not potty trained
Still nursing
Still rear facing
Still babbles sometimes, like when he's falling asleep
Never had his hair cut
My favorite: still has baby dimples on his fingers!

I'm in no rush to leave the baby days all behind!

Lo1 - nothing. He's really a pre schooler now. :( (I think preschool starts at age 3., imo).

Lo2 - still a baby at 14 months. I can't even think of him as a toddler - still on 2 naps a day, bottled, in a crib, not walking (sooo close though), diapered, babbling, teething, rear facing, barely has any hair.....yeah. He's still totally a baby :) ;)

She's 18 months and refuses to talk, so she's staying a baby to me much longer than DD1 did. I love hearing her little diaper swish as she walks. She still has her paci and carries her blankie everywhere. I love that she's staying a baby much longer, especially since we are done.

DD1 is 3 on the 17th and there is NOTHING baby left about her. She's PTed, she hasn't had a paci in over a year or a bottle in closer to 2, she's been out of the crib since 15 months, she talks super well- she got big too fast :(

DD2 is 20 months and despite having a 2 month old DD3 I call her my big baby. She's still in diapers, in a crib, sucks her thumb and her talking ranges from impressive to "what the heck is she saying?"- I'm not in a hurry for her to be a big girl

we're still rocking a diaper butt.... sleeping in a crib and his lovey. He is still less than 2.5 but has a great vocabulary and talks about the randomest things, If it wasn't for the physical act of wiping his butt it would be really hard to think of him as a baby.

LO seems so grown up to me these days. Potty training has been a big turning point. Seeing her run around without that diaper butt makes her look so old. She is talking a ton now, and she's tall and lost a lot of baby fat. Even little things like getting her the 2-4 year old toothbrush instead of 3-24 months are bittersweet.

The one thing that makes her feel like she's still a baby to me is that she sleeps in her crib. The main reason we have no plans right now to move her to a big bed is that (knock on wood) she has not tried to climb out and she sleeps really well in there, so if it ain't broke. But I will totally admit that I am not in a rush. Tucking her into a crib still feels like I have a baby, not a big girl.

What remnant of babyhood are you holding onto?
