I don't hate it...most of the houses out here are stucco which is fine but when that's all you ever see, its kind of boring. A lot of houses in our neighborhood have brick, which I love. The front of the house is brick but the back is siding. We actually had to replace a bunch of rotted siding when we bought the house and had it all repainted. It looks MUCH better now. I kinda wish it was all brick though.
