He's almost a year and still not crawling, but all the sudden the last few days he seems very interested in getting himself up and going. He still has a long way to go, but it's the first time I can say he's really making an effort - was completely uninterested prior. Maybe he saw the number for early intervention on the counter.</p> <p>Also pointing. He does this funny point/gesture with his whole hand, then brings his hand down and looks at it until he gets his pointer out, then tries again. That was pretty awesome. I don't think she's anywhere close to being potty trained, but I was so surprised. We are experiencing a word explosion in the past 3 weeks she has learned a new word daily, mostly words we've used with her all the time, but now she says them without repeating after us or parroting. Today she told my friend, "high five."
