I'd say 90% she wakes up happy. If she isn't, that means she's not done sleeping!

As an infant, DS would always cry/be grumpy. Now, he usually wakes up in a great mood given he's gotten good sleep. Otherwise, grumpy.

DD, 12 Wks, wakes up crying to be unswaddled but then is a happy little thing after a minute cuddling in bed.

My oldest used to wake up grumpy, all.the.time. Had nothing to do with hunger or enough sleep. She just wakes up grumpy, like mom. :) Now that she's older it's only about 25% of the time.
My younger wakes up happy almost all the time! I can count on one hand the number of times she's woken up grumpy. She gets that from dad. ;)

In the morning, they both wake up grouchy because they aren't great sleepers and I think they are usually still tired when they wake up. Also, DH usually gets them out of bed in the mornings so I can sleep in (since I do all MOTN wakings) and that pisses them off.

They are great nappers, though, and as long as they sleep long enough they wake up cheerful from their naps!

They are both happy little things 90% of the time. I love getting up and having sweet conversation with my 2 year old and seeing radiant smiles from my 6 month old.

Depends. If he wakes up himself he's usually pretty grumpy...he comes in almost in tears asking for a diaper change and then to cuddle. He's much better after cuddling in our bed for a few minutes.

If we have to wake him up he's much happier. He'll snuggle really hard for a long time. Dave loves having to go wake him up!

DD wakes up in the best mood ever!

Occasionally she'll be a little sensitive just waking however.

My youngest almost always wakes up happy, but my 3 year old wakes up super grumpy about half of the time. I'm not a fan of those days because every tiny thing upsets her for a good hour. I'm guessing she just wakes up before she is ready and this causes her to be a little monster.
