Lately it's been his responses to being told no (usually hitting me -- I have NO idea where that came from) and how he runs the opposite direction when I tell him to come. I know it's just a stage but it's really hard to be a patient parent in those moments!

Oh, and KICKING during diaper changes. He's gotten a whole lot better about being changed, but no matter what I say or do or how I do or don't react sometimes he just thinks it's SO funny to bicycle kick! I have a major bruise on my arm from the kicking (and two lighter ones on another part of my arm and on my hip).

I *really* can't wait until he's potty-trained!

My son is 10 months and won't stay on his back for diaper changes. He's constantly rolling over and trying to sit up and it drives me insane! I think it's because if he would just stay still I could do it really fast, but each change takes so long because of his wiggling.

Whining also! But he also uses the phrase "something else" A LOT! It drives DH and I crazy… because 1. he doesn't specify what something else is…and 2. he has kind of developed the concept that there's a list of "something else" can ask for… we need to nip this in the bud soon.

Wagon Jr.: lately when I tell him he can't do something, he says "but I really want to." And he keeps doing it over and over. I can't stand it. I guess that goes along with the general item of having to repeat myself. Luckily the "don't make me say it again" actually works on him! I don't know what he thinks will happen if I have to say it again!

Also, each morning he struggles to put on his socks. He has to have them JUST so with the line of the toe going perfectly across and stopping at just the right point, and the top of the sock has to be perfectly folded down, no wrinkles. Almost every morning he's in tears about it, and when we try to help, he freaks out.

With LMW, I don't really lose my patience with her except for her 4am wakeups.

Well she is only 4mo, but I've only lost my patience once (had to set her in her crib and walk downstairs to calm myself because I try to always be calm and smily with her and I just could. not. smile. at her any longer).

It was this past weekend. She'd woken early from her 2nd nap and I couldn't rock her back to sleep-- okay. Then I tried to put her down for he next nap when she was clearly tired, tried for an hour and failed, gave up. waited an hour and she was so so tired and I tried again for an hour and she just kept squirming and crying and I was pulling out all the stops trying to get her to sleep and she just wouldn't do it. So I needed to set her down and go downstairs because I was about to lose my mind.

Mostly just when I can't figure out what he wants (or he seems to change his mind randomly). Like he'll indicate he wants something, I'll give it to him, and then he throws a tantrum. I get so frustrated!!

I always end up feeling guilty for being annoyed, but I get huffy and annoyed when it's been a long day and LO hasn't fallen asleep yet in the ergo (the only way she sleeps) or won't nap. Usually the first half hour is fine but if it goes longer than that and she still hasn't fallen asleep I start getting impatient which I'm sure she senses and keeps her up longer. gah.
