Oh mama ... I'm rooting for you! I think the fact that you're interesting in gaining more inspiration is the first place to start.

My partner knows how much I hate working out, so he REALLY encourages me when I do start working out. I did Couch to 5K last year, and he would tell me how proud he was, or that I could do it ... I told him I needed the extra motivation.

Then, I would set little goals with 'rewards'. I found that really motivating.

Lastly, we would do date night once a month, and if I met my fitness goal, I'd buy myself a new outfit, which again, was pretty motivating.

Signing up for half marathon's helps me. I don't eat that great but I know I can't eat a greasy cheese burger if I'm running the next morning and it helps a little. Also I have a running group that I have to keep up with every week.

@Smurfette: I'm in a similar boat, though I still haven't lost about half the baby weight. Nothing in my closet fits, and it's depressing. No time to workout - or let's say no desire to go at 5a when I technically could go. I work FT and once I'm home in the evening, you'd need a crane to get me to leave the couch. I'm trying not to eat the junk at work, and I'm thinking about going Paleo or Paleo-like. Need to fix this! Also still BF once a day and wonder if rest of the weight will leave after fully weaning??? LO is 16 months old.

I've been struggling. Part of me says, "oh, be complacent, screw it". But when I take a good, hard look at myself, I am not happy with the way I look. I don't like the way I feel. I don't like that my clothes don't fit right. I don't like that I'm technically overweight on both body fat and scale numbers. 27% is not acceptable. I'm almost to pre-preg body weight, but it's more of a composition thing for me.

I feel good when I'm lean and strong and i just want to feel confident and healthy again. And the "i just had a baby" excuse will be invalid come April :)

Blowing a disc in my back two months ago really did a number on me, mentally and physically. I was doing so good until that happened. So i'm trying to recover from that.

As far as food goes, I just have to say no. I just turned down a brownie in a meeting (and i wanted one!). I have to prep on the weekends and meal plan.

I wanted to look good and I loved the way I felt after I worked out, so it just started becoming a habit. It sucks for the first month, but once you make it past that, You see the results and you feel good. So, if you can just make it through the first month, you're golden ;-)

I started doing diet bets and I've lost 15lbs in the last 2 months. It's a website where you put money down (bet) that you'll lose 4% of your body weight in 28 days. Then everyone who made the goal in the bet splits the pot. It's not a huge money maker, but I started with a $25 bet and have $60 in my account now. The money was a big motivator for me, I didn't want to lose what I invested, and I'm at a weight where losing 4% in that amount of time is really reasonable. I use myfitnesspal and runkeeper to keep track of my calories and exercise and all the apps sync together, so it's super easy.

I was at my prepregnancy weight when I started this, but none of my old clothes fit because my shape had changed. I'm starting to fit into my old stuff again and it feels so so good... which is even more motivating.

The low point for me was when I wasn't fitting into my size 10 pants and I realized my choices were to either go up to the 12, or do something about my weight.

I joined weight watchers the next week. I've lost a bit of motivation and I need to get back into tracking and exercising.

I also started doing MFP and love it - looking back I think I was ingesting WAY too many calories!!

My husband motivates me to work out. He doesn't do it to criticize how I look but as another thing we can do together. Also, I think it helps to find something active you enjoy doing. I like to play tennis, so I do that once a week. As for eating healthy, that is sort of a chore for me. I try to be good during the week so I can eat what I want on the weekends. It's a constant battle though because slacking is in my nature.

I feel the same way! I catch myself in the mirror and I feel like I look so frumpy even though I've lost most of the weight. Nothing really fits well and I have to always think if outfits are pumping/nursing friendly anyways. I think my motivation has been that I really want to look better and get myself some new clothes. I need to figure something out though because although I feel motivated I have yet to really do much about it.

Right now my weight loss is motivated by money. I paid $120 to do WW, and my job will pay it back if I lose 12 pounds. I want my money back!

I agree with @chopsuey, looking in my closet at all the cute clothes that don't fit!! I still need to lose 15 lbs at the least. I find when I work out consistently that is the catalyst that makes me want to eat better!! I Don't want to ruin all the sweat and hard work by eating crap. Plus when I work out, I always feel better about myself regardless of the number on the scale.

I feel ya though, I'm in the same boat. Like, I just bought 2 bags of Halloween candy even though I'm not handing out candy. WTF!!

you're beautiful!!!!!

I couldn't get motivated either. Then one day we walked over to Starbucks and I felt really frumpy and ugly standing next to DH. I was dressed in old maternity clothes and looked like crap. My DH looks good and I wanted to look good again too.

I also have a ton of prepregnancy cute clothes that I wanted to wear again!

I feel like crap about myself. I lost all pregnancy weight, although everything shifted so nothing fit. I started WW, and I did it for a couple weeks and then I just stopped. I have since been eating crap and have gained some lbs.

DH travels during the week, so I can't get to the gym. I have been doing the Shred video after she goes to bed the last couple weeks.

I want to feel better about myself and feel like DH wants to see me naked! But I need help! Why can't I stay motivated at all? What helps you??
