The only non-perishables I buy there are canned San Marzano tomatoes (for my pasta sauce, I'm very picky about this) and booze. I usually only go there about once a month (to avoid going broke) for lunch meat, food from their deli counter, and whatever strikes my fancy.

@yoursilverlining: I love the Jason body washes too! I have a lot of allergies and it's the only thing I can use.

@Mrs. Sketchbook: This isn't sold at WF (that I know of), but I love Dermorganic shampoo/conditioner. It's along the lines of what you're looking for and is so gentle on my hair.

@tinyperson: we usually get cheese at TJs when we do our big city trip but we will try that! I also need jam. I do like 365 peanut butter too, no sugar!

@yoursilverlining: I use Burt's shampoo and bronners as a rinse (hard to describe) but am looking for something I like better. Burt's leaves my hair clumpy but I think too much bronners would be drying. I'm not too picky but would like something paraben free. Could care less about sulfates. Ideally would be in a large bottle. I think the Jason line comes in large sizes!

DH likes the 365 shampoo and he's picky about ingredients and scents...

I like the 365 organic strawberry jam. I also usually splurge on breads and cheese when I make the rare trip!

Not sure if this line is just specific to my local WF, but we are obsessed with Copper Moon body products.

body care recommendation: I *love* the Jason Lavender Body Wash - smells great and very gentle. I've also used and been happy with Jason brand conditioner....can't remember if I tried their shampoo though.

I mostly like WF for their perishable stuff -- produce / meats / seafoods / prepared foods. The rest of the non-perishable boxed and canned stuff I can mostly get at other stores and sometimes for cheaper. They do typically have some good bulk items -- grains, rice, dried fruit, etc. that is worth while, but again, a lot of that stuff I can get at my local Trader Joes.

We have never lived near a WF (all our former towns had earthfares but we were too poor to shop them in college!) but recently have been dropping in to take advantage of their Gimme Five offer. We will go this weekend when we visit family. I'd like to take the chance of being there to get some stuff, but last time I was there I wasn't really sure what was best. To be completely honest I wasn't totally impressed because between our little health food store and the HF section in my big box, we have the standard stuff, and usually I am pretty brand loyal when it comes to so-called health/natural products. We have limited access to refrigeration, so we mostly would be buying non perishables. Would be interested in recs for bath products also, especially shampoo.
