I also use the swiffer wetjet. I got it for $2 at a rummage sale, so it wasn't a huge investment. We also live in a smallish apartment that is mostly carpet. It works well enough, but sometimes I will pre-spray the floor with regular all-purpose cleaner & let it sink in for ~10 mins then swiffer away.

It doesn't get it nearly as clean as when I scrub on my hands & knees, though!

We have the swiffer wet jet and while I don't hate it, I feel like our floors are still dirty after using it.

We use the swiffer wet mop also. No LOs and we don't make any messes that are so big the swiffer can't handle it. When we do have a mess like that, we bust out the good ole fashioned mop and bucket. Ha! I've been wanting a steam mop for ages, but haven't found a good deal on one yet. Once we do have a LO, I'll be more proactive in procurring a steam mop.

we have a swiffer wetjet, but i want a hoover floormate! ( http://www.amazon.com/Hoover-FloorMate-SpinScrub-Vacuum-FH40010B/dp/B003A2IDMC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354220976&sr=8-1&keywords=hoover+floormate ) i registered for one when we got married & was so disapointed that we didn't get it, but i don't want to buy it myself, haha. so for now i use the swiffer wetjet & then scrub dirty spots on my hand & knees =/

We have a Swiffer Wetjet. It gets the job done but it's certainly not the best. I'd rather have the Libman spray mop. It has a washable cleaning pad and you can fill it with the cleaner of your choice. It would be so much cheaper!

We've been using a basic roller mop but I'm not convinced that the floors are clean. Maybe we just have to change the roller more ......
