But to be honest I never liked breastfeeding on the couch. WHich is why we went out and for the glider. Yes, side lying is the easiest for me. I use a waterproof pad under the baby so I don't get spills on the sheets. I lay on my side and put my LO next to me on his side with his nose aligned with my nip. I pull his legs and lower body in close to me. Then I grasp his back and shoulders and bring him to my breast. When he opens his mouth, I quickly pull him onto my breast still holding him by the shoulders. Hope that makes sense! </p> <p>I just struggled with LO for 45 minutes on the couch before we settled into a comfy position. I can sit comfortably using this hold. My question to you is how you do the side lying position in bed. I think I read somewhere that you had just mastered it. I sat cross-legged on the couch and used My Brest Friend (Boppy didn't work so well for me).
