I do mostly everything - baths, diaper changes, appointment scheduling, etc. But a large part of it is due to DH's work schedule. It's not that he can't do them, but he isn't around to do them. He works nights for a week, so for example he isn't there for bath time. When he is home, he'll do anything that is asked of him! And many times, I try to schedule appointments for when he is off so that I don't have to miss work. But honestly, many things aren't top of mind to him. The boys would skip bath all the time if it was up to him! He is better at some things, like getting DS1 to take his medicine or remembering to give him snacks. </p> <p>The only thing that is totally uneven in our house is that I have never done outside yard work. I haven't done it once because I'm scared. </p> <p>I do all the Nose Frieda-ing because DH thinks it's gross. I do most of the medicine administering because I'm a little gentler about squirting it into their mouths. When DH is home he changes most of the poop diapers. I try to deal with MOTN wake ups myself, although if they both wake up DH rocks one while I nurse the other. He does most of the bottle making while I feed them (they take bottles from me better). I put them down for naps, although the few times that DH is on his own with both he manages just fine! It just goes smoother for me (because boobs). I pick out their clothes! He has never done nails and only rarely does hair. I did all of the MOTN wakeups while LO was still nursing at night (until 10 months) and I was doing all the AM wakeups until literally this weekend (18 months). I also do all of the inventory and purchasing for LO (making sure we have enough diapers, clothes, etc).</p> <p>He does most of the cooking (he enjoys it, while I think it's a chore) and probably more cleaning than I do as well. (Which is fine since his wakeups now are rare and take 30 seconds to just flip him back to his back and stick in a paci)</p> <p>We both do diapers, other daytime feedings, and general entertainment of the baby pretty equally when we're both home. Obviously I do more of that stuff overall since I'm still home with him for the time being, but I don't count that because that's just the way it is. I consider it pretty even when we're both around. </p> <p>All in all, I'm very happy with how our duties have fallen into place. I would not have said that 3-4 months ago. We were so shell shocked from about 0-3 months and I felt like I was always drowning. My husband didn't know what he was doing and was nervous, plus I was afraid to ask for help because I felt it was all my job. He finally got comfortable and I grew a set to ask for help and the duties just sort of naturally fell into place. I feel very lucky to have a husband who is so involved as a father.
