I was pregnant far earlier than expected during a period full of huge transitions (moving to a new state, newlyweds, starting grad school) and felt awful pretty much the whole time. I went from one not-feeling-well--awful morning sickness--to the next--acid reflux--and was puking pretty much my entire pregnancy, and also had pneumonia (I've NEVER had pneumonia before but it hurt terribly--I thought it was something wrong with my heart!) and 2 weeks of prodromal labor with every-5-minute-contractions and 5 L &amp; D trips before finally delivering at 37.5 weeks. I still get anxiety even thinking about being pregnant again, and though it's not my only factor or a top factor for only having one child it's definitely a big consideration. I would never want to be pregnant again. They caused serious anxiety before, during, and to some extent, after pregnancy. A close second was getting injured and giving birth with 2injured hips. I've had a mercifully easier time with postpartum physical recovery, breastfeeding, and with the newborn period.in general. TTC was really hard (had assistance), hard pregnancy mentally (intense anxiety), complicated c-section (hemorrhaged, passed out on table, had to have transfusion, be in mag sulfate, etc), breast feeding two was tough (cracked/bleeding nips, pumping around the clock, trying to produce enough for two) but the newborn days I think were the worst. I joke about having PTSD from the first 6-8 weeks but I think I really do! Ttc and pregnancy were not hard for me. Delivery sucked. Recovery sucks (still ongoing at 6 weeks pp..). The newborn days have been generally hard. But I think hardest has been bf.
