Lunch for sure. He eats almost everything I or the babysitter gives him at lunch. Breakfast is a bit of a struggle. He's usually so excited to be awake and see us and the dog that he barely eats. Dinner is hit or miss.

I'm always worrying about this. Is LO getting enough to eat? Are we offering enough variety? He's so little (3rd percentile for height, 20th for weight) that I want to make sure he gets enough, but it can be hard to keep track of.

I am pretty sure she gets the most at breakfast and dinner. She doesn't seem to eat much of the daycare lunches, and i haven't had much time to pack her meals from home. I think the problem is that she finishes eating her breakfast 45 minutes before daycare serves their morning snack so she is quite stuffed by the time lunch rolls around.

@Mrs. Bee: my pediatrician said most kids eat the most calories at lunch so make sure to include a protein and veggies. Most parents focus on dinner but that's usually when kids eat the least.

It used to be lunch when she was under 2. Now it varies day to day. Lately breakfast is pretty small and if she has a big lunch she won't eat much dinner which I'm ok with. If she doesn't eat much for lunch she has a huge dinner - like will sit for an hour eating.

breakfast is usually the biggest meal for him! Not everyday though. Dinner is his smallest meal lately. This whole week daycare said he's eaten everything at lunch - but I'm not sure how big their lunches are.

I think she eats most at lunch and dinner. Breakfast is a struggle/drama.

Breakfast, definitely. I'd say 60% breakfast, 30% lunch, and 10% dinner. Dude hates dinner and is always too tired and cranky to eat :(

It depends... she loves breakfast. She eats a lot of oatmeal and fruit or 2 eggs, a slice of bread and a smoothie. I'd say it's a toss-up depending on the day but she always eats a good breakfast. I have no idea about calories!!

I have no idea because Xander's fed breakfast and lunch at daycare and I'm not entirely sure how much of things he's getting. That being said, I think his highest percentage meal is probably dinner.

ETA: Just realized that was kind of dumb of me to say since he's home with us on the weekends and we feed him breakfast and lunch. Upon further thought, I think they all might be equal? Dinner might still be more though, but not by much.

Lunch!

Neither of my kids are big breakfast people so I always pack a large lunch and they eat it all!

In French Kids Eat Everything, they mention that lunch is the biggest meal of the day and kids get 40% of their calories during lunch.

I would say for Charlie and Olive, they get 50% at lunch and 25% at breakfast and dinner. They eat lunch best because they're in school around other kids. They usually don't eat big breakfasts or dinners.

What about your LO? Which is their biggest meal?
