I tried back carry and hip carry but wasn't really a fan of them in the Beco. I like all cotton or cotton linen wraps, personally. Wool is nice for winter but requires special care. I'm afraid of silk, lol. It's a little tricky with a toddler too but I pretty much have the hang of it now. I watched A LOT of youtube videos to make sure I was doing it right. Paxbaby has a lot of great tutorials.</p> <p>What I do is secure the beco around my waist and then leave the rest hanging straight down. Make sure ALL the buckles are unbuckled or it won't work. Grab baby/toddler under armpits with your hands criss cross ed and backwards and do a lift and flip onto your back. It sounds complicated but it's not. Then slightly hunch/bend over so that your baby is pretty much laying on your back. Hold one arm over baby's back to make sure they stay and simultaneously. pull the beco up to their back, then switch to holding their back with the beco. bring one arm strap over at a time and hold while bringing the other over so that you can hold them both before buckling into place. I like to criss cross in the front but you don't have to. I know it sounds complicated but it's not! Also I practiced over the bed until I felt more comfortable!
