Sometimes I use it in front of me (between my knees and supporting my stomach) and sometimes I use it as a prop behind my back and between my legs. So I switched to the wedge. It helped until I reached 28 weeks. I was then put on hospital bed rest so I don't know what pillows would have helped if I was still at home. It supported my belly enough, was easy to move if I wanted to roll over, and didn't take up half the bed or create a wall between DH and I. Later in pregnancy when my hips started to hurt I put a throw pillow between my legs and kept using the wedge. I would prefer to have the one that goes all the way around you, but I didn't like that it would cut me off from my husband in the bed. So when I roll over with my back to the snoogle, I have my leg on my husband supporting my hip, and a smaller, separate, pillow supporting my belly with the snoogle supporting my head and back. But I can still roll over to the other side and basically spoon the snoogle. I got it around 12 weeks (now I'm about 30) and it's been such a good thing to have throughout my pregnancy! It's a big U shaped pillow. It takes up a lot of space on our bed but I love it so far. I can sleep in almost any position and the pillow will still support me.
