Burt's Bees chapstick (any of them) make my lips sting, then crack and peel for at least a week. I'm fine with any of their liquid/gel lip balms, though.

@yoursilverlining: I tried Proactiv in high school too and also got horrific burning on my face. I can't believe they even still sell that stuff.

If we're talking serious reactions, Proactiv -- lesser reactions, everything under the sun made me break out. but nothing else made me have rashes/chemical burn!

Body shop Vitamin C moisturizer made my entire face break out in a combination of hives and tiny painful itchy whiteheads. The only other thing to do that was an organic Tea tree soap.

I mainly break out in dermatitis all over my hands, and its caused by palmolive brand hand wash/body wash and soap. I also get dermatitis when I use those natural plant based body cleansers. I don't know what the heck is in them but my hands get huge eczema patches on them.

@JessKas: I was doing that with coconut oil when I was pregnant with E! I had really dry skin and kept laying it on thick and my derm said it was making things worse. Whoops!

I've moved to a lot of simple products like Cetaphil now.

The Garnier BB cream for oily skin made me break out and my skin started flaking off.

I also had a horrible reaction to the Mary Kay velocity line years ago. It seriously looked like I had a disease, I had to wear a scarf in the middle of summer to hide my scary red, peeling, scaly neck.

Palmers cocoa butter. It took me a long time to realize that was what was causing yeh awful rash on my belly during my first pregnancy. I didn't know and kept slathering it on, hoping it would help with the itching. :bummed:

Proactive gave me a serious chemical burn on my face - it was HORRIBLE and painful!!

I’ve been a big fan of Neutrogena Dry-Touch sunscreen and have used it for years, but I’m wondering if I developed an allergy to it because I was in FL this past week and used it like always and now have a terrible rash everywhere where the sunscreen was. I can’t get into my derm either, so I guess I have to wait and see. Ugh. I’m casper the ghost white, so going without sunscreen is NOT an option.

Every single face moisturizer that I have tried has given me hives after a few days, except Olay brand. So, I only use Olay moisturizer. Face wash I'm usually fine with anything since it's not in my skin long like lotion is.

And I cannot use chemical sunscreen on my face, it stings and burns like crazy all around my eyes. It took me years to figure out that it was the chemical sunscreen, now I use mineral on my face and it doesn't sting, but they can be really heavy. In the market for a good one.

Same here with the Neutrogena stuff. I tried to use a face wash that was part of their Neutrogena Naturals line, and it made my face turn red and feel raw  Now I just use cetaphil extra gentle to wash and CeraVe as moisturizer -- both work great.

Are there any products you can't use on your skin?
I broke out in hives from Aveeno lotion years ago and I can't use Neutrogena face products since they're too harsh on my combination skin.

Just recently though, my face has been breaking out terribly for months. I thought it might be pp hormones. I sometimes have one or two blemishes a month at most (and I do have sensitive skin so those blemishes don't heel quickly). But it's been so much worse lately. I finally figured out that my Kirkland make up removing wipes were causing the problems. Ugh!! I was using them twice a day. My mom had the same problem with them and she's 60 so blemishes are very, very rare for her.
