@Sorrycharlie- I get the same questions/responses at times, and I'm only 21 weeks. It's already getting old.

I also get "How is the baby?" and "Is the baby doing alright?" It's weird to me because, I assume baby is fine- but how am I supposed to know at any given moment and why frame it in such a negative way (for #2). Not a question, but I also get people saying "You take care of that baby in there!" type comments. Um, okay... I'll try my best...

@highwire: I would get the same question all the time! It drove me nuts! What I really wanted to say was "No, we only went through a year and a half of fertility treatments but we aren't ready yet".

@SorryCharlie: I totally feel like the "how are you feeling?" question is a trick question . . . no matter what your answer (polite vs. honest), you just can't win. I also want people to stop *telling* me whether she's going to be early or late . . .

@JessieJo17: People keep telling me that they feel like my pregnancy has flown by . . . I had a few complications that really seemed to stretch out the second trimester (and I think most of us agree the first 12-13 weeks just c-r-a-w-l by), and now at 36.5 weeks, I feel like I am moving in both slow-mo and fast forward (slow-mo for pregnancy, fast forward in terms of getting everything ready at work).

@Highwire: Lol! and /facepalm! I mean seriously . . .

I have been getting "You're STILL here?!" from my co-workers all day today! I might be due today, but Baby will come when she's good and ready!

What difference does it make? Baby is coming whether I'm "ready" or not!

@autumnlove: People ask that?! I root for breastfeeding women like they're running a marathon! "You made it to 15 months? F*** yeah!"

The completely well-meaning "What's your due date?" drives me crazy, especially as the pregnancy progresses. It's an ESTIMATED due date, people! You can't count down to it like it's Christmas and expect presents--there's like a 5% chance Santa Stork will deliver!

I'm not sure if it's the question or response that ticks me off more! I am 34 weeks and I get, "how are you feeling?" and if I answer anything, I get an annoying answer. for instance..

how are you feeling?
>>>>"great!"
>>>>"oh you won't be for long! me/my sister/my mother/my cousin/XYZ thought it was great til X week and then it was awful!"

>>>>"eh, not so hot."
>>>>"oh, it'll get worse." OR "Oh, it's not as bad as so-and-so, who was on bed rest and this that and the other"

I just want to tell people to stop asking me.

I also get - "Are you ready to be done?" and I generally say, "yup! 3 weeks til she's full term, 6 til due date!" and people laugh at me and say to expect at least 7 weeks because no babies come on time. I was 2 weeks early myself, so at least one baby came early/on time.

"Is she sleeping at night?" I feel like I got asked this a lot. It's like everyones go to question. It didn't bother me at first, but I seriously answered it at least 5 times a day in the beginning. And she wasn't sleeping good at that point in time, which made answering even worse.

Any news?!?
From my dad, wanting to know if I'm pregnant. Yes, dad, i was just waiting for you to ask.
I actually don't mind friends asking vaguely when we think we will start trying, even though it's a little awkward because I'm not about to say... oh next week.
