When I was cycling on clomid, I got pregnant the cycle that I stopped stressing about having sex every day or more. Unless you know you're working with a sperm quality/quantity issue, I wouldn't sweat frequency too much. At least not for a while.

3-5 times around O is plenty to constitute trying!! I will say that for me, I don't temp and just use OPKs and CM, and the month we got pregnant this time was the one month that we had sex a few days past when I thought I ovulated. I thought I ovulated around Wed, but based on the baby's size, it lines up to me actually ovulating on Sat, so I think that one extra time we had sex was "the one". The previous months I was exhausted from BD by time I got positive OPK and would stop cold for nearly the whole TWW.

We haven't been DTD on the two-three days FF estimates we shoyld. I only track AF, no charting, so I may not really ovulate acxording to FF. Either way, we are NTNP- more NT than anythibg else. Until my husband makes a more actionable connitnent to TTC, I'm not going to sweat it.

We try for EOD starting when AF stops. We try to step it up to every day when I get to around CD13, since that's roughly when I O. I don't temp or use opk's, so I don't know exactly. Though to be honest, DH always gets super excited about lots of BDing at the beginning, but by the time we get to O (all of a week, so not long) he's complaining that he doesn't want to. It's really frustrating. I told him AF hadn't stopped when it had this time, to delay the start, so maybe he'd be less "tired" by the time O came. But now his back is hurting, so nothing yesterday.

When you say "around O," what do you mean? 3 is a lot if you mean just O day or maybe the day before. 3 is fairly little if you mean the whole week preceding or something.

FWIW, the first bfp I got, we managed to BD all of twice the entire month, and neither were as close to O as I'd hoped. So when they say it only takes once, it's definitely true at least sometimes.

I think that hitting the fertile period at least once constitutes trying. You at least have a chance. We aim for 2-3 during that period, but sometimes it doesn't happen.

3 times during the fertile period is considered a good month for us. We shoot for EOD.

We stick with an EOD schedule once I start OPKs (CD15 since I O late). I typically get a +OPK around CD19-20 so we try for ED around then. After a year of TTC, we don't want to look back and think "if only we did one more time" so we try to cover all our bases!

We did two days of sex, one day off, repeat so about 4 or 5 time around O.

After looking back through my Fertility Friend records, I noticed that many months we've been "trying," we only had sex 1-3 times during the period of ovulation (about 5-6 days near O). There was one month we BD 4 times and one 5 times, but the others were no more than 3. Do you think we need to step it up? How often are you having sex around O?
