My MIL commented constantly that our daughter was a honeymoon baby (which she was not) and I finally told her the conception date so she would zip it. Now I have been asked the same question (if baby was planned) as I'm expecting Baby #2 (probably because my daughter just turned 1). </p> <p>My favorite comment was a co-worker who looked down at my 9-month pregnant belly and said, "you are going to have a big a** baby!" I always measured right on target, and my daughter was 7lbs. 10 oz. Though in my case, I don't mind it from most people (yet), but my mom asks me EVERY day. And she's not asking just how I feel physically. She thinks I don't talk about my feelings enough so she's trying to get me to say how I feel emotionally. And it was funny because the truth was I didn't know, my Doctor didn't seem concerned so they never told me and I didn't weigh myself at home. So clearly the peanut gallery cared about this WAY more than me or my doctor!</p> <p>Also, I was super annoyed being asked about the gender. We did a gender reveal shower when I was 26 weeks and I got asked this constantly by the same people daily. The one time D said we were thinking about only having one (ironically, when I was still pregnant), we were told we were being super selfish and already failing as parents and our kid would grow up hateful and resentful of us. </p> <p>Also, comments about his size. He's a big toddler. He's always been in the high percentiles. I'll mention how big he is sometimes (here and to family) but it really rubs me the wrong way when other people get this very exaggerated look of shock on their faces when I tell them his age. "But he's SO BIG for so young!" I didn't mind it so much at first, but after 18 months it really annoys the piss out of me. Like he's not the size of a 5 year old or anything! </p>
