My students! When I drag in my work from home duties, talking with my students during a tutoring session improves my mood towards everything. They inspire me to work harder- many of them come from rough backgrounds and have struggled to go to college and support their families. I want to give them only the best!

If all else fails, music therapy- I go for a drive and blast the music really loud.

Working out. I find that my lack of energy usually stems from not being active enough. Otherwise, grabbing a cup of coffee with someone does the trick too. I work from home to so it's nice to have some face to face interaction during the day.

I was feeling drained and demotivated in the early afternoon today, and a good friend called. We talked on the phone for about an hour about a problem he was having, and I got off the phone - and felt fully recharged!

Was a bit surprised, because I really don't like talking on the phone these days - and definitely didn't expect to recharge while on the phone! I think maybe I just don't talk to many people as a WAH parent, and so it was nice to talk to someone for a bit. Gonna work to integrate that more into my day!

What restores your energy when you're feeling drained and demotivated at work?
